How do I save my peach tree when another tree is sharing the roots? has another tree growing with it from the root

I purchased this peach tree a year ago and it is now 8' high.  However half of the tree is something else- maybe apple.  No fruit yet.  There seems to be 3 or 4 trunks coming from the ground, all intertwined.  Can I separate them?   It seems there will not be a major trunk with the 3 trunks competing with one another.

You should be able to cut the trunk of the part of the tree you do not want. It may grow back from trunk but you can keep that at bay eventually the tree you don't want will die and the soil will absorb the roots of the cut tree

I know this was asked a few months ago, but what you might try is after the tree(s) go dormant for the season, is to dig them up and wash the roots with plain water.  Then you should easily be able to separate them.  Immediately replant them and they should be ok.
